1080 Video Clips

1080 Video Clips
Vanipedia's first project to unite Srila Prabhupada's Multi-Lingual Family started in March of 2013.
We created 1080 short Video Clips of Srila Prabhupada. They are built in Dotsub and presented in both MediaWiki and YouTube with dedicated hardcoded channels.
What We Are Achieving
This is a collaborative project developed by devotees of Śrīla Prabhupāda who are coming together from all around the globe to create this unparalleled repository of his lectures and conversations subtitled in their own languages. To date, 640+ devotees have participated to create 36,000+ subtitles in 93 languages.

As more of these videos are subtitled we facilitate people speaking various languages to see and hear from Śrīla Prabhupāda. We aspire to get to 108+ languages and 40,000 subtitles by February 2020 which commemorates the 54th anniversary of Śrīla Prabhupāda's first ever recorded speech, the introduction to the Bhagavad-gītā As It Is, which he recorded in New York on the 19th and 20th of February 1966.

Our volunteers have already completed the translations of all 1080 clips in 23 languages, with another 69 languages in development.
1080 clips have been completed in:

English - Turkish - Persian - Hindi - Bulgarian - French - Latvian - Italian - Spanish - Hungarian - Lithuanian - Nepali - Russian - German - Dutch - Croatian - Gujarati - Slovak - Indonesian - Telugu - Swedish - Danish - Polish - Portuguese (Brasil)

There is still more translations to do and more languages that we can start. Join us in this noble project to Unite Srila Prabhupada's Multi-Lingual Family.
