What is Vaniseva?

This Vaniseva website is the place where the community of devotees who are building Vanipedia can associate with each other and where new people can get information on how they can also perform Vaniseva.

• Vaniseva is the sincere services offered by all the Vaniservants to bring to life the worship of the glorious teachings of Śrīla Prabhupāda in Vanipedia.

• Developing Vanipedia is a community effort, and as we successfully build the web community of Vaniseva, the project of Vanipedia will naturally develop.

• To bring Vanipedia to it's full potential many devotees are needed to perform Vaniseva. There are many varieties of services that are becoming apparent as we go further into the process of developing Vanipedia.

Where can I perform Vaniseva?

• Because this is an on-line community project, you can perform Vaniseva from anywhere in the world.

• We will need the assistance of devotees with many different skills, so if you have some abilities, some free time and most importantly faith in and dedication to the teachings of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada then it is quite possible that there is some Vaniseva for you to perform.

Where are we at right now?

"For the last year the core team *have* been focused on fine tuning the conceptional Vanipedia vision and preparing the sample version 0.1 so that the public can get some perception of what it is all about.

• Now that we have launched version 0.1 we have to sit down and solidify the technical elements that are needed to give a strong base to Vanipedia.

• Through to the summer of 2008 will be dedicated to this. And after that we will be able be engage a bigger team of devotees via our Vaniseva program.

• At the moment thirteen devotees are engaged: a core team of five devotees and eight volunteers to practice with the beta versions of compiling. Now we have to develop the final tools for the compilers, and to build the Vaniseva website so that it can fill the needs it was conceived for.

So what can I do?

• If you would like to help with this exciting project please contact the Vanipedia team. We will keep your names, start communications with you, and should be able to have everything ready for global participation in the fall of 2008
